Mango Chia Pudding with Roohafza & seasonal fruits - #Roohafzaseries #Recipe

The modern day super foods have taken a lot of momentum these days. The new introductions have not just the right trick for a healthy diet but also provide for the necessary nutrients. Hence it is only wise to try them and if suited include them in your diet.

Since long I had been tempted to try out the Chia seeds as they have been known for their highly fibrous texture, water retaining properties and the goodness of health. The Chia seeds, very much like sabja seeds are little grainy seeds which can be easily soaked in Almond milk or Coconut milk etc to make them into a pudding in a matter of 2 hours.

Nutritious and making you feel full, the chia pudding is the perfect dessert, snack and even can be put up as the most exciting breakfast today! And so I tried to work with Roohafza and chia pudding together. Just added in a lot of fruits together with the chia pudding and used Roohafza for the added sweetness. The result was gulped down in a matter of minutes!

I used almond milk as it has a nutty flavor and is lactose free! Here is a detailed recipe on how to go about it.

Ingredients:

1 1/2 tbsps Chia seeds (black)
1/2 cup Almond Milk (fresh)
1 Banana
2 tbsp Condensed Milk
2 tbsp RoohAfza
½ cup Mango Pulp
2 tbsp Pomegranate seeds

Method:

1. Soak 3 tbsps of chia seeds in about a cup of almond milk for 3 hours. The seeds shall soak the liquid 9 times its weight and transform into a creamy textured pudding.

2. Take a small bowl and mash half the banana. Add in condensed milk and mix properly.

3. Take the serving glass for assembling. Firstly pour the Mango pulp in the glass to form the base. Then add the soaked chia pudding to make another layer.

4. Now add in the Roohafza syrup for the third layer.

5. For the fourth layer top off the glass with mashed banana & condensed milk layer.

6. Now sliced the half remaining banana and decorate the top of the pudding with banana, pomegranate seeds, some remaining roohafza and mangoes.

Your Roohafza Chia Pudding is ready! Or rather should I say fruit chia pudding is ready!

This was one of the delicious deserts I made in a long while now. I hope you enjoy making and savouring this one as much as I did. Tag me on Instagram (nishclick) if you do try this!
