Dinner order from Box8 ; #RestaurantReview

Mondays are certainly subjected to hate! The rush and work, the Sunday feel still not out of your mind and you are forced to work till you drop your head. After all that has been going throughout the day, all you need is go home have a sumptuous meal and buzz off!
Well the story looks good when you are living with your parents and your mom is ready with her Monday special dinner. But with people who live away from their home and eat the PG or Mess food certainly need something to make their taste buds happy.

Although ordering food from restaurants and dhabas always seem to be a good thing but sometimes we also need home-like food which feeds the soul and also has everything in portion (because why waste?). Well Box8 certainly understands this need and serves us some good home-like food in the appropriate portions.

Box8 is a foundation of Amit Raj and Anshul gupta in the year 2012 and is now a successful food delivery joint sending their food boxes all over Mumbai.

Order: I happened to order my meal from Box8 and the order included: Paneer Masala Over rice staple box which was then turned into a super saver wholesome meal with gulab jamun and nimbu paani to its addition.

Receipt of order: The order almost took half an hour to arrive and it was smoking hot. The delivery boy was courteous and greeted with a smile.

The Packing: The food was packed well with all of the orders put up in a plastic. The main plate has sections which were sealed through machine and then covered with a paper which depicted the brand’s logo. The nimbu pani came in a fancy bottle which made me understand that they really care about the quality standards for each order. Gulab Jamun being the most recommended dish was packed prettily in a small cup and sealed.

Food: The meal consisted of Jeera rice, Chhole, Paneer with gravy, salad and a sweet dish made of khoya. The rice was perfectly cooked and has the right flavor of jeera in it. The paneer with gracy also had rich texture and soft paneer cubes that were fresh enough. The chhole were cooked supremely well and tasted just like the Punjabi dhabas ones and the salad dressing was chatpata yet sweetish side to it. The nimbu paani was expected to be something which has preservatives and teasted of it but to my surprise the nimbu pani actually tasted like the ones we make at home – NO ADDED FLAVOURS.

The Gulab jamuns were mini 4 pieces heaven which tasted far better than I expected them to be, certainly making for the star item in their menu.

MyPlateReview Recommends: The Box8 meal box took my love and I seemed to like their service and their food. They don’t have restaurants but are available across Mumbai in almost 22 areas to cover. You can order through their website, give them a call or just go to Zomato and place an online order with COD service available.

MyPlateReview Rating: 4/5

Price: My staple box cost Rs. 148/- which when turned into the meal was supposed to be Rs.216/- but with taxes added to it the total price came to Rs. 279/- which is almost equal to the food box supplies available on single orders throughout Mumbai.
