If you too are
amongst the diehard fans of Moong daal ke vade, here is my recipe of it. Try
making them at home and munch on as many as you want.
Ingredients:
- ½ kg Yellow Moong Dal
- 1 tsp Hing
- 1 tbsp Red Chilli Powder
- 1 Green Chilli (chopped)
- 2 tbsp Chopped Coriander Leaves
- 1 tbsp Coriander Seeds
- 2 tbsp Kasoori Methi Leaves (dried)
- Salt to taste
- Oil to fry
Method:
- Clean dal and soak them in water for 2 hours, strain.
- Grind the soaked dal into a coarse paste and mix all the other ingredients into it. Also add 2 tbsp oil into the paste.
- In a deep fry fan, put enough oil and let it get warm.
- Cover a small bowl with muslin cloth and with the help of wet hands try making small roundel of the paste and gently put it in oil for deep frying.
- As the vada gets a little golden-ish in colour, take it out in paper and serve.
The masalas
are adjustable according to your taste and preference. Hope you like making it
and let me know about your experience.
