Smokin' Joe's Pizza - Not that great! ~ #RestaurantReview

PIZAAAAA!! Anything more tempting than a pizza story? Not in my life yet! But with Smokin’ Joe's it was a different case altogether. I am a pizza fan and greatly so a Domino’s fan too. Most of my pizzeria is solved with ordering the Herbs pizza from dominos or just some classic hand tossed pizza with loads of mushrooms again from dominos.
It is not that I don’t love other pizzas, I do, I do love them all to the core of my heart but with dominos it’s a different tale. And so going to Smokin’ Joe's was a forced job!

One of the laziest days of my holiday in Mumbai just got pizza-fied with my friends dragging me to this joint I hadn’t heard of. Located in Andheri near the Chakala metro station is this little joint named ‘Smokin’ Joe's Pizza” which I hadn’t even spotted (although we were staying right next to it) and my friend had been singing galas about trying these pizzas out. Very unlikely of me as a blogger but very likely of them as foodies! And so we were there at the oddest of moods and hottest of weather to get our brunch done.

Concept: Smokin’ Joe's is a pizza joint with its headquarters in Mumbai and almost 58 branches all over India mainly consisting of multiple branches all over Mumbai. They serve variety of pizzas, pizza sandwiches, garlic breads and sides to go with them.

Ambiance: Well this joint I went to was in a bad-bad condition with old furniture and a lot of scrap scattered all around the counter. I almost felt like I am in a government office. And as I asked the attendants if you still serve pizzas they said yes and handed me the menu. The counter looked shabby and the sitting arrangements were like okayish. But because we were too hungry to be wondering anywhere else, we just considered ordering.

As we decided for the flavours, there were discount timings from 3:00 p.m. and we were almost placing order at 2:55 p.m. The attendant refused to give us discount because we were 5 minutes earlier without any consideration. Upon guidance from another attendant he agreed to give discount and there we placed the orders.

Schezwan Pizza at Smokin' Joe's

Pizza: The pizzas were made perfectly. The crust, the softness and the freshness was bang on! We ordered for a Deluxe Margherita and Schezwan veggie.

Pizza Margherita ~ This one was loaded with loads of mushrooms and the quality of cheese was not that great.

Schezwan Veggie ~ This pizza was a little of surprise at this consisted of a lot of schezwan flavors and good veggies and tasted quite good. This actually saved us from running places for food.

Drinks: The places only houses cold drinks and that too may not be available for your choice of flavors. We had to go for Limca as they had none in the dark ones.

Service: Although the attendant was a little fussy but pizza places don’t require much of services and so I would rate average!

Price: The prices are quite high compared to the taste they offer. Although if you get discounts like “Order 1 get another free” this might be a good deal for average pizzas.

MyPlateReview Recommends: If you love pizzas don’t spoil your taste by stopping by here. Rather find a good pizza place you love going to. Although if you have no options like us, just go for known flavors.
