Product Review : Hajmola Yoodley Drinks~ A summer gift from Hajmola!

Recently I got my hands on the newly launched Yoodley drinks from the house of Hajmola. Arent they looking pretty with those bright coloured pocket style bottles with quirky emojis? i loved the look!
Hajmola as we know has been into digestive tablets since 40-45 years now, and has pioneered in its market. But with its new ready to drink beverage, Hajmola is all set up to bring about a change in the way we take the name ‘Hajmola’.

We all know about Paperboat drinks that have brought about a revolution in our fruity drinks by associating childhood memories and the flavours it offers! Hajmola has launched about 6 flavours and is in its starting phase of market penetration. Giving a tough competition to Paperboat drinks, Hajmola flavours are in sync with the flavors paperboat drinks offer! However, I could only put my hands on its three flavours.

Concept: Ready-to-drink beverage that is infused with simple flavours we come across in streets of India. The jaljeera water, kala khatta gola and even aam panna which has long been into our kitchen and across the thella wallas all over India are taken as an inspiration to make these drinks and are packaged in a way to store them for long and have it at our own convenience.

Packaging: It’s a kind of quirky packaging with plastic durable pocket like bottles with cute-faces or emojis made on them. Remember the face on the Uncle Chips wafers? Well the emoji on the packaging reminds me much of that! Easy to carry and store. Freeze it and serve as you wish!

Taste: I could only find three flavours in and around the place I could track and so going with these three only!

Nimboora Shikanji ~ With right amount of nimbu tinge, this flacour is a little less masala version of nimbu shikanji we make at home. Smooth on the tongue, a little whitish coloured and almost appealing like shikanji, this flavor is absolutely what is glimpsed by the name.

Golmaal Golgappa~ I did not personally like this one. The name implied a golgappa taste, but it tasted much like just mango and imli water with nothing so special about it. Yes indeed it is like that imli water that is filled into golgappas but still the bottle lacked in the taste. Also, the colour did not appeal to me.

Ajooba Aam panna~ The right blend of spiciness and the tangy taste mixed with the right amount of raw mango flavor. Aam panna much claims like we would love to have it.

Price: Retails for about Rs. 30/- for a 250 ml pack!

MyPlateReview Recommends: Try the nimboora shikanji or the Ajooba Aam panna in its chilled version to have a drink at hand when you travel or stock it up at home for a quick solution when guests surprise you! I would try to find other flavors as well and bring up a review on them soon.
