Beer Club Siliguri: The #AddaJoint you had been waiting for! #RestaurantReview #Siliguri

Siliguri has transformed itself in the recent times. From the days where there would be no options to taking your friends out for a good lunch to the time where you have choose what kind of food you want to dine in – this small town of mine has come a long way!

Not that the town still has a drinking culture or is open to people holding drinks in their hands but the mushrooming new pubs and bar places are making quite a difference. And the introduction of Beer Club is definitely a move that we Siligurians needed!

Beer Club Siliguri is a cute little café with an edge that opened its door a few days back to the people of Siliguri. Just a few steps inside the café and the person is treated with a lot of graphics, painting, a comfortable seating experience and a dark woody interior that is both soothing and relaxing.

Beer Club is a new concept in Siliguri. The place is to have a pool table for friends to play and a section of library where people can dedicate time to their love for reading. People who are on a lookout for some space where they can sit and work to even people who want to just sit with their friends and eat some snacks – this place is for everyone. Located on the ground floor of the famous Cosmos Mall the restaurant is ideal for grabbing a bite too when they you are tired shopping.

What excited me about the place was that I have been told that Beer Club is going to have range of Beer collection at the restaurant which shall be available to people after the liquor license is procured. There will be offers like a bottle of beer for combos of food items ordered! Isn’t that great?

The ambience of the place is quite relaxing with just the right hint of music, comfortable sitting and use of lights which really cuts the person from the hustle of the city and gives them a break. The use of graffiti on the wall is really inspiring!

Food~

Let’s come to main ingredient of making a restaurant anywhere in the world! FOOD!

We were offered a welcome snack platter on the launch date as part of the tasting menu. There were both veg and non-veg platters on the menu. The veg platter was an assortment of dishes like French fries, spring roll, paneer tikka, hara bhara kebab and baby corn chilly. While I happened to absolutely love Hara Bhara Kebab and Baby corn chilly the taste of Paneer Tikka fell flat. I would recommend trying some Chinese food here but not sure about the tandoori dishes much.

Drinks~

Although beer was served on the launch date it is not on the menu for now. One has to order the regular coffees and drinks. We were given a Kokum based Mocktail as a welcome drink which tasted good!

Menu~

Beer Club Siliguri has a good menu with names of dishes that are truly exciting. There are all the basic snacks on the menu with one or two additional new dishes to try. The menu serves for both veg and non-veg dishes! However the place does not cater to full course meal.

Service~

It’s a self-service place! One gets a ticket to their order number after the orders have been placed. As the screen displays the order number the customer can collect the order.

Plating~

No the place does not have exceptional plating for their dishes. The snacks are served in plastic disposable plates which are an easy takeaway too. The concept is that the plates will be light to handle and easy to be taken away! This although is not something exciting for someone who loves to click their food!
