De Pauls ki coffee! At Janpath, New Delhi

Rarely do we come across places that we want to visit again and again, not because of the aura or interior but because of the quality of food they offer. De paul’s happened to be one such place. On a usual Delhi evening, my friend took me for a short trip around Janpath.
Now janpath is famous for its little pieces of antiques and women jewelry plus a whole range of apparel that flourishes at very cheap rates. The whole market is flooded with people selling off bags, shoes and apparels of all sorts at reasonably cheap prices. What do you do when you are tired or roaming around the Janpath Market and need a quick check on the thirsty throat? Yes this is it

Concept: De Pauls is a very famous shop-stall that offers a variety of drinks in their unique style packaging. The place is always filled with people making their orders and going away. They have a range of cold takeaway drinks that are fizz free plus a long list of snacks to go with the coffee. The cold coffee and kachori or patty happens to be the most popular among them. There are other drinks too like the strawberry shake, mango shake, pistachio drink etc.

Ambiance: It’s a shop-stall with no sitting or standing place. Just grab your bottle and walk away for a quick shelter. Although you do find people standing near the stall and enjoying their food but they are constantly in the move because of the rush in the area.

Drink: They serve their in house special cold coffee and other flavored drinks like hazelnut cold coffee, vanilla cold coffee, strawberry shake etc. They also have sugar free variants in all the flavors. De pauls houses a list of tea-time snacks that are famous among the people here. The coffee is pretty decent in taste. They do have sandwiches, kulchas, kachoris and even samosas at your rescue indulging in which is bliss. Momos are another attraction for ‘something to go with the coffee’, but instead of choosing for the momos from De Pauls you should be going for the momo stall that is just adjacent to it.(Up on my next post)

MyPlateReview Recommends: While shopping at Janpath, grab a drink from De pauls and walk around with coolness in your hand. And if you are keen on having a sumptuous experience, just order their cheese balls (Which is great!) and your choice of coffee. Although the taste is not that great for a cold coffee to be super awesome but it’s a simple stall serving decent cold coffee.
