SHYAM: The artsy illustration of the most beautiful tale from India! By Devdutt Pattanaik #BookReview
SHYAM by Devdutt
Pattanaik
Publisher:
Penguin Random House
ISBN:

Genre:
Mythology
Pages: 274
Rating: 4/5
A beautiful Illustrative story of the most loved and adored god in India
I am not a mythology fan, but I have read
Devdutt Pattanaik’s work before and he is excellent at narrating the tales in
his own pretty fashion. Having being grown in India in a family that worships
Krishna, the story of the god and his tales has been quite familiar. But when
you get an illustration copy of this favourite writer to re-read the tale in a
new way with a lot of facts stored in little boxes here and there – you sign up
for it! That’s what I did!

Bihar Diaries by Amit Lodha: The gripping tale of how Bihar's most dangerous criminal was caught! #BookReview
Bihar
Diaries by Amit Lodha
Publisher:
Penguin Random House
ISBN: 978-0-143-44435-0
Genre:
Non-Fiction
Pages: 280
Rating: 2/5
A light read
with intriguing writing style and funny random moments. The focus is on the
police department with political influences and average characters carrying
about the story!
Handed over
to me as a part of new launch, the title of the book seemed interesting “The
True Story of how Bihar’s most dangerous criminal was caught’ and the fact that
it is going to be turned into a movie directed by Neeraj Pandey intrigued me.

If corporate life looks
like a fairyland with stable earnings and shiny bubbles moving in the air –
Rishi Piparaiya has cleverly burst those bubbles and brought people to reality!
Taking a
rather satirical take on the corporate life that takes the honest road to dealing
with the crunching office politics, confusing situations and dealing with
people of different motives - Job Be Damned is a light read with interesting use of words!
