Forking Maggi Peri-Peri from Maggi Hotheads #NewLaunch #MaggiMarathon

“Paanch rupaye ka maggi laana.. paanch rupaye ka Maggi Khaana..
Subah dopahar sham ko khaana.. Maggi Maggi Maggi!”

But unfortunately its not available at Rs. 5 anymore. But Maggi surely knows how to keep the love going by introducing new flavours! Yes indeed while walking at the departmental store the other day I found this new pack of “Maggi Peri-Peri” and like any other Maggi lover – I got exicted to try it at the earliest!

Haven't really heard about the launch of Maggi Peri-Peri nor seen any advertisements so I had to wonder a lot if it was a genuine one, and yes it is! Maggi has come up with its new sub-brand the “Maggi Hot heads” which aims to target the young adults who want to experiment with  new flavours and indeed what better than making it a little spicy! (Goes with the name no?)

Maggi Hot heads has launched four variants of the instant noodles which are: Hotheads Peri-Peri Noodles, Hotheads Barbeque Pepper Noodles, Hotheads Chilli Chicken Noodles and Hotheads Green Chilli noodles. I just got fortunate with one though!

So yes I made the Maggi Hotheads peri-peri noodles in a very simple way to get the real taste of it. Boiling the water, putting in the veggies and noodles and then mixing up the masala! I let it steam for a while and served it hot and spicy.

Peri-Peri originally termed as piri-piri is a very hot variety of chilli which comes from the family of capsicums but are too hot and spicy. They are majorly grown in Africa but were brought to Goa by the portugese. And hence piri-piri has been a part of tropical cuisine since a long time now. Peri-Peri infusion into maggi is found when you open the masala sachet of the packet.

The masala was red in colour and very much in sync with the aroma of a chili capsicum. As soon as I added it to the Maggi Hotheads Peri-peri noodles, it turned the instant noodle’s colour into red and filled with spicy and saucy capsicum flavours. With every spoon comes a saucy and spicy capsicum flavor which is spicy yet a little sweet, so yes I don’t have to always solve the craving of Mediterranean cuisine for my visit to restaurants, Maggi makes up for it too now!

MyPlateReview Recommends: Indeed loved the new tadka to the usual Maggi flavor and the fact that it gets spicier and tastier with the infusion of Mediterranean flavours and chillies from four popular regions makes me want to try other soon too. Maggi Peri-Peri nailed the taste of saucy and spiciness of chillies by keeping it close to capsicum and tomatina tinge. Although if you are one who loves it more spicier you can use additional chilli or one more sachet of maggi tastemaker which comes in sachets normally too.

MyPlateReview Rating: 4/5

Price: Priced at Rs. 20/- it is double of the regular maggi price.

Availability: You can order your own pack of four from Snapdeal here.
